About me
Carrie supports people in expanding their internal capacity so they can lead effectively amid greater external complexity. She partners with organizations, teams, and individuals across sectors to cultivate the awareness, skills, and practices needed for more adaptive, compassionate, and effective leadership. As a team coach and group process facilitator, Carrie provides tailored support that helps teams strengthen relationships, surface and shift unhelpful dynamics, navigate difficult conversations, and build more inclusive cultures.
Before joining KONU, Carrie served as Adjunct Faculty and Executive Coach at the Federal Executive Institute, where she facilitated experiential leadership programs for senior federal leaders. She also spent 15 years in the international development field, leading strategy, programs, and learning initiatives for philanthropies, government agencies, and nonprofit organizations, including the U.S. Agency for International Development, Mercy Corps, and Hunt Alternatives Fund.
Her work has included managing large-scale professional development contracts and designing and facilitating global leadership programs. Carrie has lived and worked in 25 countries, with a particular focus on strengthening peace and security decision-making in conflict-affected contexts across the Middle East, East and West Africa, and South Asia.
Carrie is an ICF-certified Associate Certified Coach through Georgetown University’s Institute for Transformational Leadership. She holds an M.Ed. in Adult Development from the Harvard Graduate School of Education, an MPA in International Conflict Resolution from Columbia University, and a bachelor’s degree in English Literature from Dartmouth College.
A certified yoga teacher, Carrie restores and grounds herself by spending time in nature, building forts and fairy houses with her two daughters, reading fiction and poetry, and learning to dance.
