About me
Sofia Soto Reyes is a Senior Associate at the Consensus Building Institute. She is a dedicated environmental policy professional and experienced facilitator focusing her work on supporting conflict resolution and capacity-building efforts across a range of areas of expertise, including organizational development, climate adaptation, natural resource management, sustainable development, and environmental peacebuilding. Her practice aims to foster inclusive collaboration, interdisciplinary policy design, and equitable climate action. Prior to CBI, Sofia was a Trainer, Coach, and Senior Facilitator at Habitus Incorporated. While there, her projects aimed to strengthen communication, organizational efficacy, conflict management, collaborative negotiation, and meeting design and facilitation skills through capacity-building programs. Sofia’s career spans both domestic and international contexts, including projects that address climate resilience, renewable energy development, and environmental governance. She holds a Master’s in Public Administration in Environmental Policy from the Maxwell School of Citizenship & Public Affairs, and a Master’s in Public Policy in Management & Organizations from The Hertie School. Sofia speaks Spanish and has spent time studying in Jordan, Vietnam, Morocco, Bolivia, and Germany.
